Pentecost and the Gift of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a unique
gift to the Church from Jesus. When we
say, “Church”, we are not speaking of an institution. We are referring to the “body of Christ”. This body is the “Church”. It is a living organism comprised of all the
lives and therefore, of all the souls, who have given allegiance to Christ as
the Savor, the Messiah, the Lord.
This Holy Spirit, “comes,
whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth,” (John 15:26)
Jesus is no longer with us,
physically. It is because his physical
presence is limited by time and space.
In His place, Jesus gives the Holy Spirit, which spirit is not limited
by time and space and therefore, can
permeate us and co-mingle with us in the body.
