Liberal, conservative and moderate- these are labels for the prevailing views of the news. This blog puts forward what the author considers a view that is not being considered by the so called opinion makers of today's media elite.

Keep the Government Out of our pocketbooks
The solution to our national money problems is a disciplined federal government. Getting Federal spending under control and then cutting it is really simple. 1. Go through the payouts by budget item and eliminate money to millions who should not get it. Who are these millions? Well, babies born here are automatically citizens and get a social security number. Then they return to their country of origin and (surprise) for a small fee to a their government official, daddy gets a death certificate and junior or missie automatically qualify for US government SS til age 26...HELLO! There are plenty of scam artists on US soil who get benefits too. 2. Go through the foreign aid budget and eliminate all payments to foreign governments. Why do we prop up foreign governments with US tax dollars. 3. Bring all US troops home. We really do not need the fifty thousand soldiers in Iraq. We also do not need to fight the Taliban. We do not need to have soldiers in S. Korea. Or in Germany. Let the Koreans and Chinese handle N. Korea and let Germany and France handle their own problems. The citizens of all the counties where we station troops are richer than us because their taxes are used for their pensions and not to pay for their own protection. Study your map and realize that these counties are far away from us and resolve to let Pakistan, Russia and the surrounding countries handle their local problems. We can redeploy the troops to our border with Mexico. They ARE a problem for us. 4. Lower federal employment. There are hundreds of thousands of federal workers who double dip the system. They work for local or state government for twenty years, get a full pension and then they are hired by the feds for the next twenty years. They can live on one pension so if they are getting a pension from government already, fire them. 5. Repeal Obama care which is a multi trillion dollar expense that takes provision of health care away from private job producers and gives those jobs to federal employees. 6. Do not pass the Dream Act. This new social welfare program does not solve the illegal immigrant problem, it rewards current illegals and encourages those here illegally to bring even more of their relatives here. 7. Look at the defense spending with a very fine tooth comb. There is a process in the military that says that either you spend it or you lose it. This refers to budgets and it annually encourages huge expenditures on all kinds of silly stuff so that the money is spent and therefore the budget for that department is not reduced the next year. 8. Cut spending at the federal executive level. How much does it cost the US taxpayer every time the President decides to campaign for his political party or himself? Why should we pay for his future or the future of his cronies and allies. If it is not a State visit then charge the political party for the two planes, the two presidential cars, the secret service and the local security bill (a bill often charged to the feds or coming out of local tax dollars.) This is the age of video so let's use a lot more video conferencing for the Executive branch. 9. Cut spending on congressional pensions and staff salaries. Why do the congress people who were just removed from office get a pension? Does former congressman Alan Grayson, the absurd loudmouth from Florida, who was appointed and then defeated, does he get a full federal pension? I think he does. Hey, I'd like a pension like that! 10. As a final measure, use what we got to produce more. I know that tolls are a local issue in the East. But I'd like a very detailed accounting of the tolls on the Bridges and tunnels into NYC and on the turnpikes and I-95 and the like. I am sure that with the waste discovered there we can fund the NJ teachers and firefighters, who earned and deserve pensions. The way we can provide for our future is to not let the government set us up age each other, rather it should be us against their wild spending.
